Mint cookies


Ingredients for Mint Cookies

  1. Flour 1.5 cups (200-225 grams)
  2. Butter 100 grams
  3. Sugar 150 grams or to taste

Cooking Peppermint Cookies:

Step 1: prepare flour and butter.


Cooking cookies, we start with the preparation of butter. For our recipe, it should be soft. Therefore, we take it out of the refrigerator in advance and leave it to soften for a while. In the meantime, let's take care of the flour. Set a sieve over a deep plate or bowl and sift it. So the flour will get rid of flour lumps and be saturated with oxygen from the air. Then we add soda, salt to it and mix everything thoroughly with a tablespoon.

Step 2: chop the mint.

Next, wash the mint leaves under running water, shake over the sink and lay on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, chop the mint very finely or chop it with a blender at medium speed. We shift the prepared aromatic greens into a clean plate.

Step 3: prepare the chocolate.


A bar of chocolate can be chopped by hand into small pieces in any convenient container, or you can beautifully cut it with a knife on a cutting board. Or to save time, buy chocolate drops.

Step 4: prepare the dough.

When the butter softens, add sugar to it and with a whisk, beat the mass to a lush consistency. Then we wash the egg under warm running water, break it and add it to the oil. Again, beat everything until smooth and start pouring flour with salt and soda. We do it gradually, while constantly mixing the dough. It should turn out to be thick and slightly crumbly.

Now it's time to add chopped mint and chocolate. Last time, mix the dough with a tablespoon and you can proceed to the formation of cookies.

Step 5: make cookies.


Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. We cover the baking tray with baking paper and use a tablespoon or clean hands to form, and then place the test balls on the baking sheet. The distance between the test balls should be at least 3 - 4 centimeters.

Step 6: bake cookies.


When the oven reaches the set temperature, set the pan on the middle rack. Bake mint cookies until fully cooked for 10 - 15 minutes. During this time, the dough is a little blurry and covered with a light golden crust. We take out the finished dessert from the oven and leave it on a baking sheet to cool for another 10 minutes.

Step 7: serve the mint cookies.

Then, with a kitchen spatula, we shift the mint cookies onto a beautiful serving plate and prepare your favorite drink. Such tasty and fragrant cookies can be savored with hot tea, coffee, milk, as well as homemade compotes and any freshly squeezed juices. Recipe Tips:

- You can cook such cookies using any kind of chocolate, both bitter and white.

- Often vanilla extract is added to the test cookies for a sweeter flavor. For our proportions, 1 teaspoon is enough.

- In addition to chocolate, you can add any nuts, citrus shavings, berries or dried fruits to such cookies.

- White sugar can be replaced with brown sugar.
