Ingredients for cooking langos

Cooking langos:

Step 1: prepare the milk.


Pour milk into a small pot and place the container on a small fire. Already literally through 1-2 minutes turn off the burner, as the milk should be warm. Attention: Do not over-milk the milk on fire, otherwise the yeast in the hot liquid will just curl up and the dish will fail.

Step 2: prepare the yeast.


Pour milk into a medium bowl, add sugar and fresh yeast. Using a tablespoon, mix everything thoroughly until completely dissolved. After that, set the bowl aside so that the yeast comes within 10-15 minutes.

Step 3: prepare the flour.


Using a sieve, sift the flour into a deep bowl. This must be done so that lumps do not come across in the test, and the cake itself turned out after frying soft and airy.

Step 4: knead the dough.


In a hill of sifted flour, we make a small depression with our hand. Now we pour sour cream or natural yogurt, suitable yeast, as well as soda and salt into it. We mix everything well with clean hands until we get a tight dough. Then we give it a rounded shape and set aside in a warm place to insist for 1.5 - 2 hours.

Step 5: prepare the garlic.


While the dough is suitable for us, we will prepare other components for the dish. So, with a knife, we separate the cloves from the head of garlic. After that, remove the husk and rinse slightly under running water. Now, using the garlic, grind the garlic cloves and immediately transfer them to a free saucer. Attention: vegetable can be finely chopped with a knife on a cutting board.

Step 6: prepare hard cheese.


Using a medium grater, grate hard cheese on a cutting board and after - transfer it to a free plate. Attention: For the preparation of langos, you can use any kind of cheese to your liking. For example, it can be both salty and sweet cheese product, as well as any brand.

Step 7: Cooking Langosh


When the dough is infused, we tear off small pieces from the main piece with our hands, slightly wrinkle them in our palms, giving the shape of a ball, and put it on the kitchen table sprinkled with flour. We crush them with our hands, and then roll out of them, using a rolling pin, a cake of medium thickness. Attention: the size of the test piece is determined by ourselves, depending on what size you want to cook langos.

The test ball can be stretched into a cake by hand and without using a rolling pin.

Now pour the vegetable oil into the pan and put the container on medium heat. When the oil warms up well, we spread the cakes in turn and fry them on both sides until golden brown. Attention: langos should literally swim in oil, as this is a feature of the preparation of this dish. And the readiness of the cake can be checked by lifting its edge with a fork. If the dish is already browned on the bottom side, then turn the cake on the other side with a wooden spatula. Immediately shift the finished cake from the pan to the plate and, until it has cooled, rub the surface with chopped garlic with your hands. After this, generously sprinkle the dish with grated cheese, and grease the langosi with ketchup on top if desired.

Step 8: serve langosi.


Langos are served hot and have a pleasant aroma of garlic and grated cream cheese, to say nothing of the dough itself, which after frying is soft, airy and just melts in your mouth. And since the cake is quite satisfying, it can be served along with hot tea or coffee.
